Over the past few years, The Lavender House Flower Shop has undergone a significant and intentional transformation. Our journey began in 2006 when Kimberly assumed the helm of Best Buds Flower Co. from its original owners. This marked the start of a new era, steeped in passion and a vision for the future.
Since then, we’ve evolved, not just in our name but in our approach to floral artistry and customer service. This evolution reflects our commitment to excellence, our deep understanding of floral aesthetics, and our dedication to creating memorable experiences for each customer.

In 2019, Kim and her team celebrated the Best Buds lucky 13th birthday by moving from our long-term retail storefront in Oliver Square into what we affectionately called The Lavender House, a beautiful, historical purple-hued property nestled among the tree-lined streets south of 104th Avenue.
In 2023, it became clear that the heart and soul of our beautiful flower shop lay within the lavender hues of our historic storefront, The Lavender House. In 2024, we decided to rebrand from Best Buds Flower Co. to The Lavender House Flower Shop to fully embrace our new beginning in this gorgeous home!
Since the beginning, we’ve made it our mission to provide an excellent floral experience for clients looking day-to-day floral creations – made to order. Since then, we’ve expanded to include an intimate event space in our cozy historical home and floral workshops where our guests can choose their own colours and decorations to add, all while guided by our expert team.
We have extensive experience with floral creations for weddings, corporate events, intimate gatherings, and more! We can also host gatherings in our century-old historic property!
